Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn Campus, Melbourne
This is to announce the second 1-day workshop to discuss Australia's part in the
Murchison Widefield Array (MWA). This will include discussion on the science,
current status, and the future use of the MWA telescope.
This meeting is being kindly hosted by the Centre for Astrophysics and
Supercomputing at Swinburne University of Technology
(AR Building, Hawthorn
Campus, Melbourne).
The MWA is a radio telescope which will
observe in the 80-300 MHz band. It is the low-frequency instrument being
built on the superb radio quiet SKA-candidate site
in Western Australia. The initial science focuses of the MWA are the
epoch-of-reionisation, transients, solar/space physics and an all-sky
survey.
We encourage all people interested in the MWA and its science to attend.
The agenda is given below.
To help with catering, please e-mail
Lisa Lansfield by 8 November to let
her know that you will be
attending.
