1st Year Astronomy Observing
This Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, if the sky is clear, 1st year students are
invited to come observing with students from the University's Astrophysics Research Group.
We will be looking at objects ranging from double stars to globular clusters.
The observing nights will be located on the roof of the Doug McDonell Building (building 168 on the Uni Map), near the ERC library. The astro group has two 8" Dobsonian telescopes which you will be able to use during the night.
Observing starts after sunset, but you should arrive just before sunset, and goes for between 1 and 2 hours. We look forward to seeing you there!
Current Observing Status
Thursday the 29th: Observing is on tonight, I'll see anyone interested at the Doug McDonnel Building at 5:45pm.
Decisions on observing nights are made no later than 2 hours before sunsetClick here to read the flyer.
